About Company

AMCEC provides design, engineering, equipment and installation of recovery systems, using activated carbon or zeolite adsorbents for solvent recovery and VOC emission control.

Li-Ion battery manufacturers, packaging printers, degreasers, pharmaceutical companies, etc. will benefit from our proven solvent recovery process which pays its way while meeting VOC compliance demands.

AMCEC's team of seasoned engineers is dedicated to providing quality engineering and services. Our goal is to design and supply high performance, cost efficient process systems that meet each client's individual requirements.

With thousands of systems in operation, more than 80 years of worldwide experience, and billions of pounds of solvent/VOC's recovered each year, AMCEC enjoys a good reputation for its conservative engineering, quality equipment and services, and is a recognized leader in the fields of vapor phase carbon adsorption and solvent recovery.

AMCEC OFFERS

solvent recovery packaging printing
In-situ steam and hot gas regenerated systems for:

Recovery of most industrial solvents
Recovery of NMP using a special hybrid process
Recovery of BTEX from refinery wastewater
VOC abatement
Recovery of VOC's from ground water/ soil
remediation
Treatment of landfill gas for removal of VOC's

SOLVENT RECOVERY SYSTEMS

AMCEC solvent recovery systems, with deep carbon beds, provide up to 99% recovery and, in some cases a one-year return on investment. Steam or inert gas regenerated systems are custom built in various sizes and metallurgy to suit clients applications.

  • MICROBLOC skid units for Solvent Laden Air (SLA) volume from 300 to 3,000 scfm (standard cubic feet per minute).
  • MONOBLOC factory assembled units for SLA up to 40,000 scfm.
  • Custom multi-adsorber systems for SLA up to 1,000,000 scfm.

NMP RECOVERY SYSTEMS

AMCEC NMP is used in the manufacture of lithium ion batteries as a solvent for coatings used for the anode and cathode substrates.
Solvent laden air from the ovens is drawn into the AMCEC Solvent Recovery System where the NMP is recovered by a combination of condensation and adsorption.

HYDROCARBON AND VOC REMOVAL UNITS

AMCEC units, regenerated with inert or process gas, are well adapted to remove hydrocarbons or VOC's from natural gas or landfill gas at high pressure.

VOC EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEMS - HYBRID

AMCEC HYBRID systems combine carbon or zeolite rotary bed concentrators (regenerated by hot air) with catalytic or thermal oxidizers. This is a cost effective solution to control dilute VOC emissions with removal efficiencies over 95%.

  • Modular concentrator units, factory assembled and tested up to 60,000 scfm capacity.
  • Field assembled concentrator units designed to process up to 1,000,000 scfm of VOC laden air.

ENERGY SAVING UNITS - ECOVAP

AMCEC ECOVAP units are suitable for large solvent recovery systems and provide more than 40% steam savings year round with 2 to 4 years return on investment.

APPLICATIONS

AMCEC processes are applied in many industries where organic solvents or VOC's are emitted from a process or a manufacturing facility, such as:

  • Publication and product gravure printing
  • Package gravure printing, flexo printing
  • Battery manufacturing NMP recovery
  • Pressure sensitive/sticky tape and label production
  • Magnetic tape production
  • Coating and converting operations
  • Tri Methyl Benzene (TMB) recovery from Hydrogen Peroxide Manufacturing
  • Chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical industries
  • Electronic, photographic industries
  • Textile, plastic manufacturing
  • Paint spray booths (furniture, automotive, aerospace)
  • Food, winery, tobacco, seed oil extraction processes
  • Explosives manufacturing
  • Dry cleaning, metal degreasing
