Why NC Solar Now

We install solar power because it’s our passion. We love what we do and it shows. NC Solar Now is committed to providing high quality, affordable renewable energy and energy efficiency solutions to residents across North Carolina.

In today’s climate of growing energy needs and increasing environmental concerns, North Carolinians are turning to solar power. The sun is capable of producing the raw power required to satisfy the energy needs of every human being on Earth, and we are dedicated to bringing these resources to our community. By working within our state, we hope to boost our local economy and lessen the strain we are placing on finite sources of energy and instead, focus on clean and affordable renewables.

Our goal is to help make the world a better place for future generations by creating a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable energy environment. We are dedicated to providing renewable, non-polluting energy options for consumers while educating them on how to save money in the process.

Our Team

We have put together a strong team of experienced, like-minded professionals dedicated to increasing awareness of the benefits of renewable energy and to providing the highest level of service to our customers. We bring over 17 years of experience to provide you with the right advice, so you can relax and let out team of qualified professionals handle all your installation and service needs. We are committed to our state and its energy needs and want to help you reduce your carbon footprint and electric bill, as well as get you one step closer towards becoming energy independent.

Benefits of Solar

Model Solar Guidelines: A Resource for North Carolina Homeowners’ Associations to Facilitate Solar Projects
Solar energy systems present a sustainable alternative to conventional energy technologies, with the potential to provide homeowners with a significant portion of their energy needs while safeguarding human health and environmental quality and enhancing property values and economic opportunities throughout the community. While [Association Name] recognizes these benefits, it is important that these systems are installed in a manner that respects legitimate competing community interests

Energy Savings

When you install a Solar PV System, every kilowatt-hour that your panels produce is one kilowatt-hour you don’t have to buy from your energy company. So if your system produces 80 percent of power you use, then you only have to pay that 20 percent difference. With a correctly sized system, you can produce as much power as you want to reduce your monthly bill by 20 percent, 50 percent or even 100 percent. This customer’s 5kW system produced enough power that his monthly statement only reflected the utility company’s basic customer charge.

Solar Electricity (PV)

Solar Electricity, or Photovoltaic (PV) is a process that converts sunlight into electricity. The more direct sunlight the PV modules receive the more electricity they produce. The PV modules are comprised of small photovoltaic cells that are all wired together and sealed between a plastic backing and a tempered glass cover. This panel is wrapped with an aluminum frame to protect the edges of the glass as well as allow for safe mounting. Multiple panels are connected together, creating an “array” of modules. The solar modules create DC (direct current) power. This DC power is converted into standard AC (alternating current) power, allowing it to be fed directly into your home to offset your electric bill.
