History
AZCO INC. was founded 65 years ago with the vision of providing customers with complete industrial construction services from A to Z.
This foresight has become the foundation of what our company is today: an employee owned, full service industrial constructor and fabricator.
Our commitment to our customers is to complete contracts on schedule and within budget. We keep this promise by providing our customers with dedicated people with special skills and in-depth experience.
1949
Four individuals identify a need in the Fox Valley for a quality mechanical contractor to serve the industrial marketplace. Together they form AZCO INC., signifying service offerings from A to Z. Initially, serving the pulp and paper industry from its base in Appleton, Wisconsin, AZCO expands its markets to include power generation and a broad range of manufacturing.
1953
AZCO, in response to a large industrial ventilation project, establishes its first metal fabrication facility.
1982
Increased demand from the food and beverage and power industries leads to the construction of a separate stainless steel pipe fabrication shop and major expansion of its carbon steel pipe fabrication facility.
1985
AZCO purchases HENNES ERECTING, INC., of Appleton. HENNES ERECTING provided heavy machinery moving and installation, power boiler and environmental services, as well as steel erecting services. The combined firm, AZCO HENNES INC., self-performed a full range of services to an industrial marketplace including power generation facilities, foundries and steel mills, food processing plants and breweries, chemical and plastic firms. AZCO® furnished a seamless approach to its industrial owners.
1995
AZCO drops the HENNES name from its corporate identity reverting back to the simplicity of AZCO INC.
1998
AZCO constructs a new metal fabrication shop for the fabrication of ASME pressure vessels, tanks, chutes, and heavy ductwork.
1998
A management group forms an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) with the non-union office staff to purchase the founder’s majority interest in the company.
2006
AZCO INC. became 100% employee owned. Recognized by ENR as one of the top 20 Power Contractors in the nation.
2007
AZCO's growth in sales led to the necessary addition of 40,000 square feet of shop space for pipe and metal fabrication for a combined total of 120,000 square feet. Recognized by ENR for the second year as one of the top 20 Power Contractors in the nation.

Quality Assurance
Our carefully selected team of specialists understands that Quality Assurance is broader than just weld inspection – it's a commitment to improving customer satisfaction, searching out ways to advance the construction processes, upgrading methods and materials, extending equipment life expectancy, and expanding overall safety and reliability.
The Quality Assurance team is a cohesive unit, with each individual member being responsible for, and specializing in, a distinct area of expertise. Plus, each team member brings a valuable perspective on delivering a quality product. One team member has a background in welding. Another's background is metallurgy and metrology. A third brings experience in nondestructive testing and inspection.
The Quality Assurance team stays on the leading edge of technology by continually improving our processes and ourselves – ongoing training and certification is vital to not only our future, but the success of our customers, too.
