With roots in years of pioneering research, Hyperlight Energy® is a clean energy technology company that invents, develops and manufactures innovative products and services for augmentation of industrial and other large-scale energy-intensive facilities.
Changing the World of Energy
Hyperlight Energy® is changing how the world makes and uses energy. Built with our patented linear Fresnel reflector technology, Hyperlight Energy®’s solar steam generators are introducing a new class of distributed heat generation. Our unique on-site energy systems produce clean, affordable heat and cooling at the customer site.
Leading Technology
Our technology is different from legacy concentrated solar thermal systems in three main ways:
- Low-cost materials: Our solar collection field uses time-tested, outdoor plastics instead of concrete and steel supports
- Industrial scale: Using proven, high-efficiency optical geometry, Hyperlight Energy®’s product is sized to optimize cost and performance near operational facilities
- Rapid installation: Foundations are pre-fab and literally rolled out on the ground
Our team continues to develop new ways to transform the potential for deployment of clean energy innovations on a massive scale.
Partnering in Innovation
Hyperlight Energy® was established with its current focus in 2010 near San Diego. We continue to expand our portfolio of applications, pilot projects and patented technology innovations in collaboration with forward-looking leaders.
A New Kind of Renewable Energy —
Designed for Industrial Customers
For owners and operators of natural gas-fired and other boilers who need to reduce their operating costs and emissions and increase renewable energy production, Hyperlight Energy®’s product—Hyperlight®—is a solar steam generator that has the zero fuel cost of renewable energy and the compatibility of bolting on to your steam system.
Each Hyperlight Energy® solar steam generator provides 30,000 therms of energy in a year—enough to offset more than 20,000 gallons of diesel fuel oil—in the total footprint of one acre. For more energy, simply add more Hyperlight® solar steam generators.
