About Company

HTAC Solar provides PV system solutions that maximize energy-conversion efficiency all along the power chain from solar panels to the grid resulting in dramatic reductions in life cycle costs while boosting the power produced from each solar PV panel. Central to an HTAC Solar powered system is a proprietary, high- efficiency Micro-inverter, such as the all weather, general purpose HTAC 300 Micro- Inverter with Grid Tie and Software Monitoring.

HTAC Solar Micro-inverter powered systems are more efficient. Micro-inverter based systems distribute the conversion of solar DC power into grid AC power between multiple smaller modules which are attached to each solar panel instead of relying on a single large central inverter as in a traditional PV system. HTAC Solar Micro-inverters boosts power production by using a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm at the module level to enable each solar panel to operate at its maximum efficiency independent of other panels in the array. If one solar panel’s output is degraded by age, shadows, or poor panel orientation and placement it will have no negative effect on adjacent panels. Traditional central inverter based system are wired in series so that all solar panels can only operate at the efficiency of the poorest performing panel. This means that one sub-par panel will drag down the power output of the entire array to match its lower efficiency.

HTAC Solar’s Micro-inverters plug into each solar panel and employ intelligent switches to boost the energy-conversion efficiency at the solar-cell level. These switches integrate highly efficient power components with logic-control circuitry to minimize current leakage when the PV panels are producing energy. Combining low-loss power switches, precision controllers, and smart inverters allows total array output to be boosted by up to 25% over traditional central inverter based systems.

HTAC Solar based systems are more reliable. Because each micro-inverter is sized to handle the output of just one or two solar PV panels instead of the output of the entire array, it can be built using components that are much more durable. HTAC Solar utilizes intelligent switches that operate at a lower temperature compared to the traditional central inverters which use diodes. This translates into a longer lifetime and higher reliability. Instead of the 5-10 year lifespan of a typical central inverter, HTAC Solar warrants its micro-inverters for 25 years, equivalent to the nominal lifespan of a solar PV panel. Installers and integrators using HTAC Solar micro-inverters can create turn key solutions that don’t need ongoing replacement of the central inverter every 5-10 years.

HTAC Solar based systems are scalable. Micro-inverter technology allows additional solar panels to be added to an array (each with their own micro-inverter) without having to replace the costly central inverter. This makes solar panel array deployment scalable over time as needs and availability of resources change. Traditional solar array systems can’t be expanded after the initial installation because the central inverter has to be sized to handle only a specific number of PV panels.

HTAC Solar customers can mix and match different PV panels within an array since HTAC Micro-inverters have been tested to work with PV panels from virtually all of the major manufacturers. HTAC Solar even has a solution for manufacturers of high DC voltage PV panels: the HTAC 300H can accept PV modules with an output range of 60-110VDC.

As a complete solution provider, HTAC also delivers each unit with the software that can monitor and control from a PC for most solar applications. Our HTAC software shows the live status of each panel both DC and AC wattage, amperage, inverter internal temperature, efficiency, status of operation such as island protection. Our inverter can be connected with the RS237 USB or wireless such as the optional Zigbee 485 modules.
