Solectria Renewables, LLC was established in January 2005 with corporate offices (including manufacturing and design of its three-phase central inverters) at 360 Merrimack Street, Lawrence, Massachusetts.

Solectria Renewables is a spinoff from Solectria Corporation, an electric and hybrid vehicle company which was founded by Anita Worden and James Worden in 1989, to focus solely on the development and sales of grid-tied photovoltaic (PV) inverters.

Today, Solectria Renewables is the 3rd largest grid-tied PV inverter, string combiner and web-based monitoring manufacturer for residential, commercial and utility-scale solar projects in the USA. Solectria Renewables, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yaskawa America, Inc., is a leading U.S.-based grid-tied PV inverter, combiner & web-based monitoring manufacturer for residential, commercial & utility-scale solar projects. Solectria’s products include 3.8 to 750 kW inverters. Solectria is backed by over 100 years of power electronics and inverter experience. All of Solectria’s three-phase central inverters are made in the USA.  PV System owners, developers and EPCs rely on the high performance, reliability and bankability of Solectria – A Yaskawa Company. 

Solectria Renewables is still headquartered in Lawrence, Massachusetts, but has additioanl offices in Huntington Beach, California; Berkeley, California; Jacksonville, Florida; Pheonix, Arizona; and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and serves both the North, Central and South American PV inverter markets.
