Paradigm BioAviation, LLC (PBA) is the U.S. operating company of the Paradigm Energies Group. PBA was formed to develop and deploy bio-synthetic fuel production technologies into multiple regional Integrated Bio-Refineries (“IBRs”). Primarily, these IBR’s will use local waste (dependant upon region) as the sustainable feedstock to produce and sell alternative jet fuel to commercial, corporate and military aviation.
Our operation is out of central Illinois; where Paradigm BioAviation has a longstanding aviation presence that includes: FBO facilities, commercial aircraft fueling, maintenance and part 135 charter operations. Paradigm BioAviation is working on a vertically integrated supply and delivery chain from feedstock into the aircraft. This comprises two working fronts in Illinois:
- A regional Airport/FBO for the commercialization of the necessary Alternative jet fuel delivery systems. This would include: blending and storage facilities, corporate aircraft user input and evidence of overall carbon emission reduction in accordance with ACI-Europe ACA Program and FAA/ACRP guidelines.
- A foundation commercial demonstration facility in Illinois; where we have secured a long-term MSW (Municiple Solid Waste) supply sufficient enough to support a 10 Mgal/y plant. PBA is starting the “Siting Ordinance” application to acquire the land for this facility. Our goal is to reproduce these systems and facilities in multiple locations.
The current sustainable feedstock available for Bio-SPK jetfuel production is MSW in Illinois and woody biomass, lignin, in North Carolina.
Paradigm BioAviation is an innovative, Alternative Energy company committed to the way jet fuel is developed, processed and delivered. Our vision is to reduce carbon emissions and create sustainable solutions through production, commercialization and use of Alternative fuels within the aviation industry.
solution
Paradigm BioAviation has assumed the commercial integration role of sourcing long-term MSW feedstock contracts from incumbent municipal and commercial haulers while securing off-take agreements for power and liquid fuels.
It is intended that each regional IBR will employ Thermochemical Carbon Reformation and Cogeneration (“T-CRAC”) processes; as well as Gas-To-Liquid fuel systems integrated with single-stream Materials Recycling Facilities (MRF) that are able to consume all forms of local municipal solid waste (MSW, C&D, Cellulosic and other landfill effluents) that produce Bio-SPK jet fuel. PBA will derive additional revenues from “tipping fees” (currently charged to municipalities and waste providers for disposing of MSW1) and from carbon “RIN & Blend” (credits generated and sold to carbon producers2).
Regional communities favor these facilities because they provide:
- Green jobs
- Diminish the need for new landfills
- Decrease municipal recycling costs
- Reduce their carbon emissions
- Protect against “peak oil” shortages with local fuel production
- Reduce dependence on imported fossil fuel
- Generate electric power
- Fuel regional airports and aircraft operations
There are currently no established commercial supply chain parameters for aviation bio-fuels because of the recent development of the industry.
Vision
Paradigm BioAviation is determined to be the world leader in the development of synthetic BioSPK; providing Alternative fuel to aviation fleets for decades to come. Our ambition is to ensure both safety and stability while reducing carbon emissions and greenhouse gases with renewable bio-fuels.
Our Focus:
- reduce aviation carbon emissions to ICAO objectives
- empower communities with green solutions for energy & jobs
- facilitate zero landfill growth & single-stream recycling
- significantly reduce dependence upon imported fossil fuels
- establish local fuel production from locally available feedstock
