Norway’s Natural Gas Output Recorded Substantial Surge in October

SEATTLE (Oil Monster): The official data released by Norway government authorities suggests substantial jump in the country’s natural gas output. The country produced 12.05 billion cubic feet per day of natural gas during the month, higher by 41.3% when compared with the month prior to that. The production figures exceeded the forecast by almost 4%.

The country’s total hydrocarbon production of 23.2 million cubic feet of oil equivalent per day were up over the prior month as well as over the same month a year before. The Norwegian Offshore Directorate data indicates that the production stood higher than projection by nearly 5%.

Norway’s oil production averaged 1.77 million barrels per day (bpd) in October this year, beating estimates by more than 8%. The country’s natural gas liquids production totalled 196,000 bpd, whereas the condensate production stood at 19,000 bpd during the month. The country sold 374.34 billion cubic feet of gas last month.

Norway continued to maintain its leadership position as the topmost gas supplier in the region, accounting for almost 34% of the bloc’s total imports. The other major suppliers were Russia, the U.S., North Africa, Qatar, and Azerbaijan. Almost 50% of the EU region’s pipeline imports in April-June this year came from Norway.
